The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services on the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it is actually alarmed about the higher amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The services stage developed for intervention activities a large influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that office to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to permit the servicing of all shoppers and boost access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
